The angle of the kingpin with respect to the road surface is called a caster angle.
Kingpin is in the caster angle of 0 degrees vertical state with respect to the road surface, the kingpin will continue to increase the caster angle enough to go falling to the rear.
Giving the caster angle, when you turn off the steering, footprint of the tire will change greatly.
Therefore angle is less and better initial reaction of steering and improves angle and straight-line stability is large.
◆ effect of caster angle change
Angle is small (0 degrees): improvement of response
Angle is large: straight-line stability is improved
